The Rambler

My name is Jennifer and I’m the author of this crazy blog.  Just a few things you should know about me…

I love Jesus.

I’m a wife to Marcus.

I’m a mom to Eli, born in 2010 and Aubin, my daughter born at the beginning of 2012. They’re 20 months apart and mommy’s tired.

I was born and raised and live in Texas and say things like fixin’ to and y’all. And it bugs me that anytime I see a TV show based in Texas they always get the accent wrong. Always.

I’m old. Well, not really old, but by most new mom standards, I’m ancient. Let’s just say I’m in my mid thirties. Yeah, that sounds good.

I was single for a loo-o-ong time. Or at least, what seemed long to me, until one day I met the love of my life. Through MySpace. Yep, that’s right. He stalked me through the internet.  But that’s a story for another time…

I adore my husband. Like the old Jerry Maguire line…he totally completes me. We are two peas in a pod. He’s the yin to my yang. Where I’m weak he is strong and vice versa.  He makes me laugh. And wipes my tears. And he gets stuff down for me from high places. He may have found me online, but there is no doubt in my mind that God brought us together.

And now we have these amazing little people. And I have the privilege of staying home with them and not working (in the traditional sense). Not exactly what I had imagined for my life, but I couldn’t be happier.

I blog for a few reasons. One, I want to remember this time in my life. Two, I enjoy writing and this is a good creative outlet for me. I don’t get to it as much as I’d like, but I enjoy it just the same. (I think that actually qualifies as a couple, not a few. Anyway).

This blog has become a compilation of thoughts, experiences and me living life the best I know how with the strength that God provides.

I’m really glad you stopped by. Come back anytime. You’re always welcome here.

Happy reading!
